We know you’ve got a thousand and one things on your mind at this time of year, so we wanted to pitch in a little and help you get a head start. How? By making sure you’ve got all the crop data you need to ensure a healthy harvest.

There are enough things to worry about once you’re behind the wheel of a combine. The last thing you need is Climate FieldView pinging you with an error message. Save time and headaches by double-checking that you’ve got the latest version installed on your iPad and phone, before hopping into the cab.
If you’re like most farmers, you know your fields like the back of your hands. That said, when it comes to field-mapping in FieldView, things like treelines and ditches can inadvertently lead to inaccurate results come harvest time. Watch our video on how to manage field boundaries and learn how to avoid any trouble.
Thanks to the ability to easily share as-applied and static-rate maps with your trusted advisor, with FieldView building PDF reports for everything from cost-splitting to compliance is a breeze. To make it even easier, FieldView also lets you share the info via email or text. Looking to run an application trial? They’ve got you covered there also.
Otherwise known as verifying your data, when using your data inbox you can examine it and fix any errors before adding it to your FieldView account. What happens if you’ve got bad data already loaded into your FieldView account? No problem, you can fix that too. Watch our video to learn how.
While you’re “cleaning” your data, be sure to check the names of all your crop, seed hybrids and varieties. Keep the names consistent and simple by using the name listed on the seed bag.
Already using FieldView Drive? Pre-harvest is a great time to check that it can pair to your iPad, while it’s connected to your combine. If you aren’t using the Drive yet, give it some thought. FieldView Drive is one of the easiest and most accurate ways of migrating field data into your account. Our Compatibility Guide will tell you if your current equipment is compatible.
If instead of FieldView Drive, you’re using a Precision Planting 20/20 YieldSense monitor, now is also a good time to make sure it’s properly connected to FieldView.
Accuracy here is key. Changing monitor components, crops, fluctuations in grain moisture and density all play a role in yield monitor calibration. If you need help recalibrating your monitor, check out your owner’s manual or contact the manufacturer before the harvest begins.
