Top Issues When Harvesting with FieldView

  1. Confirm compatibility of your equipment system
  2. Verify the FieldView Drive is connected.
  3. Verify the correct machine is set active, and the Drive is connected to the equipment.

Additional Harvesting Tips:

  1. Unknown Hybrids: Prevention & Resolution
    • Cause: Unknown hybrids appear when planting data is missing or planting maps haven't been built in the FieldView™ Cab app.
    • Fix:
      • Go to Settings > Data > Select Year > Rebuild Map or Rebuild All Maps
      • Use the Fix Data tool on FieldView.com (Data > Fix) to correct hybrid names before harvest.
  2. Manually Adding Planting Maps
    • Use Add Activity in the FieldView™ Cab app:
      • Navigate to Settings > Add Field Data > Add Activity
      • Enter field details, equipment, planting population, hybrid(s), and planting date
      • Tap Add to finalize
    • Note: Internet connection is required for this action
  3. Custom Harvesting Workflow
    • Share field files with customer harvesters using Send to Account:
      • Go to Settings (in the FieldView™ Cab app) > Data > Select Year > Send Data
      • Enter recipient's FieldView email and select fields
      • Files will appear in their Data Inbox
  4. Calibration Best Practices
    • For FieldView Drive users:
      • Calibrate at the beginning or end of a field, ideally after headlands
      • Save 4-5 passes in a consistent yield environment for accurate calibration
  5. Data Sync & Offload Checks
    • Ensure Offload Status is 100% before analysis
    • Use CloudSync Log to confirm successful syncs
    • These steps help avoid incomplete maps across FieldView platforms
