This document explains the different ways that a grower can collect or upload data with FieldView™

Why should I upload my data into FieldView™?

  • Each farm is different. Every field is unique. Use FieldView year-round to make data driven decisions to maximize your return on every acre. We’re your data partner to seamlessly collect, store, and visualize critical field data. Monitor and measure the impact of your agronomic decisions on your fields to optimize yield and maximize profit.

What are the different ways that I can bring my data into FieldView™?

  • Live collecting data with the FieldView Drive

    • The FieldView Drive is an in-cab hardware device that plugs into your equipment’s CAN diagnostic port, capturing both machine and field data. It connects your equipment to your iPad® device via Bluetooth®, allowing you to collect data and store it as you pass through your fields.

  • Live collecting with Precision Planting 20|20 SeedSense®/YieldSense® Display

    • Precision Planting 20|20 is an in-cab display that connects to FieldView Cab on the iPad® device via a lightning cable and will sync live collected data over to FieldView.

  • Connecting APIs to FieldView to sync data across platforms

    • API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other, such as John Deere Operations Center and FieldView.

  • Uploading compatible files through the Data Inbox

    • The Data Inbox is a feature within FieldView that can be utilized to upload files from external sources such as historical data collected on an equipment display or files from other FMIS systems.
