FAQs When Using FieldView Cab App with 20|20 YieldSense

Overview

This document addresses frequently asked questions regarding using FieldView Cab with YieldSense.

Is it possible to enter 20|20 Load Actuals or perform a True Up in FieldView Cab?

It is not possible to enter actual weights for Loads or perform a Loads True-Up using FieldView Cab. It is possible to create new Loads or edit the name of a Load by tapping the Loads button at the bottom of the map while connected to a Combine. Entering Load Actuals and performing Loads True-Ups should be done on the 20|20.

Is it possible to use the 20|20 Crop Setup Wizard in FieldView Cab?

It is not possible to use the Crop Setup Wizard in FieldView Cab. The Crop Setup Wizard should be used on the 20|20.

If I edit Crop Settings in FieldView Cab will they update in 20|20 YieldSense?

Yes, Crop Settings changes made in FieldView Cab will transfer and update the Crop Settings in 20|20 YieldSense. The raw data previously collected by YieldSense will not be changed but all harvest data displayed in FieldView will reflect the latest Crop Settings.

If I edit Crop Settings in 20|20 YieldSense will they update in FieldView Cab and the FieldView Cab app?

Yes, editing Crop Settings in 20|20 YieldSense will update them within FieldView Cab and the FieldView app.

Is the Hybrid Override feature still available in FieldView Cab?

No. The Hybrid Override feature is no longer in FieldView Cab and entering a Harvesting Hybrid in 20|20 YieldSense will not result in any changes being made to the Yield by Hybrid report within FieldView. There are three primary ways to set the Harvesting Hybrid:

  1. Planting maps collected with FieldView Cab are built
  2. Upload planting files from compatible OEM monitors to Data Inbox
  3. Create a planting map by entering details about a planting activity

The Load List can also be used to track how multiple Hybrids are performing compared to one another in the field very similar to how Manual Hybrid Override worked. Add a new Load where each Hybrid was planted in the field and use the Hybrid name to rename the Load. Following harvest, you’ll be able to see the Harvested Acres, Wet Weight, Average Moisture, Dry Bushels, and Average Yield for each planted Hybrid.

If no planting data exists, the Harvesting Crop will need to be selected manually by tapping the Harvesting Crop button at the bottom of the map.

Does adjusting Moisture Offset in 20|20 impact my FieldView Cab maps?

Yes, the moisture values displayed in the cab app will always match the 20|20 while harvesting. You can still adjust moisture after harvest through the harvest summary, causing a mismatch between what the 20|20 displayed and what is displayed in FieldView.

How does the yield adjustment made by changing the YieldSense Crop Constant using True-Up relate to the yield adjustments made on the Harvest Summary Report?

Yield adjustments made using the YieldSense True-Up functionality are separate and in addition to the Yield adjustments made using the Harvest Summary Report. The Yield Adjustments made from the Harvest Summary Report will take into account changes to the YieldSense Crop Constant but will ultimately be applied on top of it.
