This document guides you through the connection process between your CLAAS Connect account and FieldView via API.

API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. In this example, the API FieldView to retrieve yield data captured via CLAAS connect.
CLAAS launched a new platform called CLAAS connect (replacing CLAAS Telematics) including APIs for integration and seamless data transfer that will be available to FieldView customers starting October 2025.
Additionally, users will have the option for automatic data import, meaning that once the accounts are connected, it will no longer be necessary to use the "Import" tab to edit and import data in Data Inbox. The import will be done automatically, and you will be able to view the created map layers in FieldView. For editing/deleting, you should use the "Fix it tools" feature or contact the support team.
To set up the interface between CLAAS connect and FieldView, you need the Administrator user role for the desired organization within CLAAS connect. Other user roles within the CLAAS connect portal are not authorized to establish an API connection.
You must reconnect your account, following these steps:
1. In your FieldView account, navigate to your account drop-down menu (located in the top left corner).
2. Select Manage Account.
3. Find the CLAAS Connect card and click the Connect button.
4. This will take you to the CLAAS website where you will input your credentials.
5. Select the desired organization and click on Prepare data sharing.
6. This will take you back to FieldView and show a message if the connection was successful.
