Planting season has many moving parts. You have to get your fields, equipment and crew ready for when the time and weather is right. Luckily, FieldView™ can help you measure, track and manage every move of the planting season. In order to do that, there are seven questions to answer before you get out into the field. And fear not, every question has a link that will help you find the answer. Let’s get started!

1

Is Your Equipment Compatible?

Go to SetUpClimateFieldView.com. All you have to do is answer a few simple questions to see if your equipment is compatible with the FieldView™ Drive. FieldView also connects to the Precision Planting 20|20 SeedSense® monitor.

2

Have You Mapped Field Boundaries?

Before you head to the field, confirm your boundaries are exactly where they should be. If this is your first time entering or adjusting boundaries, watch this short video to learn

If you’ve already mapped your field boundaries, it’s always a good idea to review them before you plant. If you’ve added something to your field like drain tile, consider excluding that from your boundaries to avoid altering the data collected throughout the year.

3

Did You Add Seed Names, Treatments and Applications?

You want to know exactly what worked and what didn’t after harvest. Having precise harvest data starts by collecting precise planting data. There are a few simple things you can do to make sure your planting data is as accurate as possible.

4

Did You Update the FieldView™ Cab App?

Download or update the FieldView Cab app in the iOS App Store®. Version 10.5.0 is the one you want. But you don’t need to know the exact number — just press the “Update” button. Don’t forget to update the FieldView Cab app on your tablet and your phone.

5

Did You Perform a CloudSync?

Ensure CloudSync is enabled in the FieldView Cab app. If needed, force a CloudSync by clicking the circular arrow on the home screen of the Cab app and allowing the CloudSync process to fully complete. This step makes sure you're ready for yield analysis and other features, and is very important to ensure your data is not lost if something were to happen to your device.

6

Did You Enter Your Equipment into FieldView?

If you have a self-propelled, pull-type or air seeder, there are specific steps to make sure it's connected to FieldView. Get your equipment set up here.

7

Did You Install the FieldView Drive?

If you have compatible equipment, installing the FieldView Drive only takes a few minutes and makes data collection automatic and seamless.
